Using Visualize in Tracking Dashboard

While using the Tracking Dashboard, you can access a simplified view of the measures you are tracking. by selecting the Visualize view.

To do this:

1. Navigate to the Tracking Dashboard after selecting the "Tracking" drop down from the top of the State Net tool bar.

2. From there, you select Visualize.

3. The following will display:

• Hearing Calendar Pod – to view bills set for hearing, place and click your mouse pointer over the calendar days colored in blue and review the information that appears in the pop-up box
• Legislative Status Pod – Shows you a summary of the legislative state and disposition of the bills you are tracking

   Stage: Introduced, Passed 1^st Committee, Passed 1^st Chamber

Disposition: Pending, To Governor, Enacted/Adopted, Failed

• Customer Issues Pod – shows you a breakdown of how your bills are categorized (headings and tags)
• Jurisdiction Pod – Provides an overview of states considering legislation you are tracking (hint: the darker the color the higher the volume of bills.

4. Refine your report.

• Click on one or more options in each pod and when you [Refresh Dashboard] the bill counts in all pods will automatically update based on your selections
• Select a start date to limit your dashboard to bills that have been added to your tracking file or have incurred a change in status since a certain day
• Create different dashboards for multiple tracking files
• Each pod has its own clear option but you can do “all clear” at the top to start over

 

Click [Display Bills] to generate the legislative report that supports the counts in your dashboard – report generates at the bottom

5. Printing & E-mailing - You can now share your dashboard report by using the “print” and                “email” icons at the top right of your screen.

• Click the print share button and choose whether to display all pods in 1-page or separate pages with bill count details
• Click the email share button to give your email recipients access to the latest version of bill text even if they don’t have a Lexis login.
